The current Openpath Jira and Confluence instances will be migrated to the MSI On-Premise solution from August 9th-11th, the current platform will be set to read-only and all future usage will be in the Avigilon Instance. How to create and assign roles
A role is a set of portal access permissions that can be assigned to users.Â
You can enforce MFA on custom roles.
Five default roles cannot be edited:
Dashboard Read-Only - Only allows access to the dashboards.
Super Admin - Gives full portal access with edit permissions.
Super Admin Read-Only - Gives portal access with full read permissions.
MFA enforced Super Admin - Full permissions for users, with MFA required.
MFA enforced Super Admin Read-Only - Full read-only permissions for users, with MFA required.
Note: If you are assigned an MFA role please follow the steps here to set it you user MFA in your profile.
Note:Â Users with the Super Admin role can assign and revoke portal access for other Users.
To create a role:
Go to https://control.openpath.com/login and log in. To access the European Alta Access, please go to https://control.eu.openpath.com/login.
Go to Users > Roles and click the plus(+)sign on the top right of the page Create Role Enter a name and description, and assign users.
Select the permissions you’d like this role to have. For example, you can create a role that only gives access to Dashboards.Â
You can set granular permissions for roles if you have the Premium package. See How do I set granular permissions for user roles?
Click the blue Save button in the lower right corner.
To assign a role:
Go to Users > Users and click on a user to go to their User Details.
To assign roles, click the slider to enable Portal Access.
Click on the Roles field to select and assign roles.
Click Save.
