Adding MFA (Multi-factor Authentication) to your user profile for security

You may be requested by your Admin to set up MFA for your user to log into Avigilon Alta Access or you may decide you would like that extra layer of security on your own. These are the steps you need to follow to set it up.

Note: You are going to need an app installed on your device(phone) to do so. Google Authenticator, Authy, Duo, or something compatible with them.

  1. Log into Alta Access. Click your initials in the top right corner of the page, go to My Profile, and click the Security Tab.

2. Click Add MFA Device. Follow the steps to add your TOTP (Time-based, One-Time Password) device and give it a name.

3. Follow the steps to Activate your MFA device.

Note: You should be scanning the QR code with the app you choose to handle your TOTP.

4. Log out of Alta Access and go back to the log-in page. Put in your Email and Password, then click the Enter two-factor authentication code link.

5. Enter the Code shown on your device, then click Sign in.
