How do I set granular permissions for user roles?
You can create specific, granular permissions for portal users in Avigilon Alta Access.
By default, any role with read/write access to users can manage all users within the organization. The User/Site Partitioning guide adds a layer of security that restricts user management by site.
To create a role with granular permissions:
Go to https://control.openpath.com/login and log in. To access the European Alta Access, please go to https://control.eu.openpath.com/login.
Go to Users > Roles and click the plus(+) sign to Create a Role.
Enter a name and description for the role.
Choose whether you'd like this role to have access to all sites or a specific site.
Note: You will need a Premium or Enterprise license to use Site-Based roles.Click the Read and Write sliders to create a custom role.
Note: Device Dashboard is tied to the “Hardware” permission, not the Dashboard permissions.
