Avigilon Alta Rules Engine, an overview
The rules engine allows you to create conditional rules that trigger actions based on Avigilon Alta events, allowing you to automate security alerts and implement if/then workflows. The rules engine is available in all software packages, however, the Basic software package supports fewer Trigger Types in the graphical user interface (GUI). To upgrade your software package, contact your Avigilon Alta sales rep.
Note: To create rules using Trigger Types not supported in the GUI, check the “Use JSON Editor” checkbox. For an example of a rule created using the JSON editor, refer to How do I push Avigilon Alta events to Slack?
For information on how to create rules, refer to How do I use the Rules Engine?
Expand the tables below to outline the different Trigger and Event types supported between the Basic and Advanced (Premium/Enterprise) rules engines GUI.
