How do I create badge templates for cards?

The Badge Templates feature lets you design and format badges to print on your Avigilon Alta key cards. You can design multiple templates, including landscape and portrait styles, or select from several default templates for contractors, employees, and visitors.
To enable this feature, refer to How to enable features in Avigilon Alta Access.
Go to https://control.openpath.com/login and log in. To access the European Alta Access, please go to https://control.eu.openpath.com/login.
Go to Configurations > Badge Templates.
Click Add Badge Template (+)
On the Settings tab, select the Base Template and enter a name for the Template.
If you’d like to use the default template without customizing further, click Save and proceed to print your badges.
(Optional) Click the slider to make this template the Org Default.
On the Name tab, adjust the size, position, and text formatting.
On the Photo tab, adjust the position of the user’s photo, and select a color for the photo’s border.
Note: A user without a photo will instead display their initials.
On the Logo tab, click Select Logo to upload an image, Replace Logo to replace an existing one, or remove the image/leave the image blank to use text instead.
Note: You cannot edit the Text settings if an image is selected.
On the Background tab, click Select Image to use your own background image. You can also use a solid color background instead – click the color tile to select a color using the color picker or click the arrows to enter your color in HEX, RGBA, or HSLA.
On the External ID tab, click the slider to enable the optional External ID field, and adjust the size, position, and text formatting.
On the Custom Fields tabs, select which Custom Field you’d like to use, then adjust the size, position, and text formatting.
Custom Fields are only available on the Premium plan and can be edited under Users > Custom Fields.
Click Save to publish your changes.
From Configurations > Badge Template:
Click on the template you’d like to print.
Under the Preview section, select the name of the user whose badge you want to print.
Click Print Badge.
Select the badge printer from the browser’s print utility, or close and right-click on the image to save it locally and import it to your printer’s software.
From Users > Uses:
Click on the name of the user whose card credential you want to print.
On the Credentials tab, click the Print icon next to the card credential.
If you don’t see the Print icon, click the Edit icon next to the card, assign a Badge Template, then click Save.
Select the badge printer from the browser’s print utility, or close and right-click on the image to save it locally and import it to your printer’s software.
Badge Templates should work with any thermal badge printer, but you may need to adjust print settings for your printer.
For the Evolis Primacy printer, we recommend printing at 96 DPI at 100% scale.
If using a high-definition printer, you may need to adjust the scale of the image in the printer settings.
Avigilon Alta Badge Templates are designed for use with Avigilon Alta key cards which are 3.37 x 2.125 in. Printing on different size cards may result in the image looking distorted.
If using Safari, you may need to enable popups in order for the print utility to open.
