The current Openpath Jira and Confluence instances will be migrated to the MSI On-Premise solution from August 9th-11th, the current platform will be set to read-only and all future usage will be in the Avigilon Instance. Alarm Management FAQ
Note: To use Alarm Management you will need either a Premium or Enterprise license.
Premium - Limit of 100 alarm configurations. Limit of 100 open alarms.
Enterprise - Limit of 500 alarm configurations. Limit of 1000 open alarms.
You will be unable to save alarm configurations over the limit of 100 for Premium and 500 for Enterprise licenses.
Notifications are sent as you approach the limit of open alarms and again when the limit is reached. After that, old open alarms are auto-cleared as new alarms are triggered.
Alarm Management allows a detailed configuration of alarm events to generate notifications to specified users/roles.
This includes a new Alarm Dashboard view and Reporting to see alarm history and actions taken.
We have added new Alarm widgets for custom dashboards.
The Alarm Feed is a view of all alarm events.
Alarm statistics is a view of all alarm stats. Open, Open P1, Acknowledged, and Total Alarms.
There is also a new profile setting to Play alarm notification sound.
Note: Muted sound on your computer will stop the notification sound.
Once you have your Premium or Enterprise license, you must install the Alarm Management app from the App marketplace.
How to set up Alarms
Go to Configurations > Alarms and click the + on the top right corner to create a new Alarm.
INFO - Give the new alarm a Name, Description, Severity range from P1 most severe, to P5 least severe, and Instructions on handling the Alarm.
Silenced disables notifications for this alarm, if Enabled the alarm will still appear in the dashboard and history.
ASSIGNMENT - You can choose to assign to either a user OR a role and you can toggle the assignee to Require notes for acknowledgment, meaning they will need to add notes before they are able to close an alarm.
CAMERAS - Choose the camera OR leave blank if there is no associated camera.
TRIGGER - Select the type of trigger and how to filter the event, just like using the Rules Engine.
SCHEDULES (Optional), if there are no schedules, there are no time constraints on this rule.
ACTIONS - Choose the type of action you want to happen and toggle as many Perform Action When Alarm Is boxes as you need, and complete the steps after deciding on what type of action you have chosen.
Click Save.
