How do I enable Single Sign-On for OKTA?
To let Super Admin users log into Avigilon Alta Access with their OKTA credentials or directly from the OKTA portal, enable the Single-Sign-On (SSO) feature.Â
You can also enable SSO for the Avigilon Alta Open mobile app, which lets users log into the Avigilon Alta Open mobile app using their OKTA credentials.Â
To enable OKTA SSO:
Go to https://control.openpath.com/login and log in. To access the European Alta Access, please go to https://control.eu.openpath.com/login.
Click on the OKTA tile under Integrations > All Integrations (or App Marketplace > Get Apps).
If in the App Marketplace, click Get App.

To let Super Admin users log into Alta Access with their OKTA credentials, click the toggle next to Enable Single Sign-On (SSO) with portal access.
To let users log into the Avigilon Alta Open app using OKTA credentials, click the toggle next to Enable Single Sign-On (SSO) for the mobile app.

To let Super Admin users log into Alta Access from the OKTA portal, click the toggle next to Allow IDP-Initiated SSO.

Fill out the required fields: SAML SSO URL, SAML Issuer, and SAML Certificate. You'll find this information in OKTA.
Log into OKTA and click on Admin.
Go to Applications and click on your Avigilon Alta Open application.
If you haven't already added Avigilon Alta Open, first click Add Application, then search for and add the Avigilon Alta Open Security application.
Click on the Avigilon Alta Open application.
On the Assignments tab, assign access to the Avigilon Alta Open application to users and access groups.
On the Sign On tab, in the Settings box, click View Setup Instructions (if you don’t see this option, you might need to switch to the Classic UI).
Copy SAML SSO URL, SAML Issuer, and SAML Certificate from the OKTA portal into their corresponding locations in the Avigilon Alta Open portal.
When finished, click Save.
