Fire Alarm Interface Wiring Guide

This wiring guide will explain the (4) wiring options supported by the 3rd party Power Supply used within our cabinet-based ACUs.

We do not offer any Fire Alarm Interface options for our Single Door Controllers (SDC) at this time.

FPV4 and FPV6 Power Supply Wiring

  1. The installer needs to confirm the trigger type being sent to the Avigilon Alta system from the FACP. The input from the FACP can be wired to accept a NO, NC, Open Collector, or Voltage input.

  2. Once the trigger type has been confirmed, please reference the wiring options below:

Important notes:

  • Fail-safe locksets MUST be used for operation. Fail-secure locksets do not toggle upon FAI activation.

  • Dip Switch 1 - FAI Selection: Off = Constant Output | On = Output switches on FAI. (see image below)

  • FAI LED #4 (Red) Indicates activation of the Fire Alarm Input. (see image below)

Expected Behavior:

Upon triggering the FAI, the Power Supply will disable all power outputs, shutting down all connected Avigilon Alta equipment.
