Programming No-Tour locks, getting the logs, and lost cards/fobs

How to program the No-Tour locks

Once you assign the Schlage card or fob (See Schlage Wireless Locks: No-Tour mode), the user will take the card and present it to each of the locks they have access to. This will transfer the information programmed to the card to the No-Tour lock. The first presentation takes some time, up to 5 seconds, to transfer the information.

Note: Only Schlage Cards or fobs purchased from Avigilon Alta can be used for No-Tour locks.
(Schlage cards/fobs not purchased from Avigilon are not supported.)

See: New Avigilon DESFire EV3 Cards regarding Avigilon No-Tour config card

Avigilon Alta Mobile credentials will work also and are programmed just like regular Avigilon Alta Mobile credentials.

Note: For Mobile Credentials to work the no-tour lock needs to be toured with the Avigilon Alta Access app prior to a user being able to successfully use a mobile credential.

Note: If you run into BLE issues, we recommend setting the lock to a "long" BLE communication range. This is changed/set in the Allegion ENGAGE app if not initially programmed that way and then updated by touring the lock with the Avigilon Alta Access app.

Updating No-Tour locks & grabbing the Audit Logs

Because these locks are offline, if you make changes to the No-Tour Entries in Alta Access after giving the credentials to the user, the Admin will need to use the Avigilon Alta Access app and present it to the lock or locks to update those changes. This will automatically download the Audit logs at the same time and push them to Alta Access.

Install the Avigilon Alta Access app

A. Log into the Avigilon Alta Access app with their Alta Access username and password.

B. Select your Org.

C. Select 3rd Party Devices.

D. Select No-Tour Wireless Locks, select the lock you are near, and click Connect.

E. Once connected, press Sync. This will update the lock AND download the Audit Logs pushing them into Alta Access.

Lost Schlage Cards/fobs

If a user loses their Schlage card or fob do NOT delete the credential from the user. Go to the user credential in Alta Access, select the missing credential from that user, and tick the Lost box.

After you mark it as lost you can issue a new credential to the user.
