How to trigger and revert Lockdown Plans
Note:Â Please contact your sales representative to request Lockdown functionality.
To trigger and revert Lockdown Plans, you must be a designated user (or belong to a designated access group) with trigger/revert permissions defined in the Lockdown Plan. See How do I create a Lockdown Plan?
You can trigger and revert Lockdown Plans via the following methods:
To trigger or revert a Lockdown Plan from the mobile app:
Open the Avigilon Alta Open App.
At the bottom of the screen, tap on Lockdown.
Tap Trigger or Revert on the desired Lockdown Plan.
Â
To trigger or revert a Lockdown Plan from Avigilon Alta Access:
Note:Â You must have a Cloud Key Credential to trigger and revert Lockdown Plans from Alta Access
Go to https://control.openpath.com/login and log in. To access the European Alta Access, please go to https://control.eu.openpath.com/login.
Click on Lockdown from the top right corner.
Click Trigger or Revert on the desired Lockdown Plan.
Â
To trigger or revert a Lockdown Plan with a card credential:
First, create a card credential with trigger or revert permissions.
Go to https://control.openpath.com/login and log in. To access the European Alta Access, please go to https://control.eu.openpath.com/login.
Under Users > Users, go to your User details.
Optionally, create a new User for generic first responder use cases.
On the Credentials tab, click the Add User Credential dropdown to add a new card.
From the Lockdown Plans dropdown, select the desired action. You can choose to trigger or revert one Lockdown Plan per card.
Present the card to an Avigilon Alta Reader to Trigger or Revert.
To trigger or revert a Lockdown Plan with a third-party IoT button:
IoT buttons trigger and revert Lockdown Plans by calling Avigilon Alta's Lockdown Plan APIs (see orgs/lockdown plans and orgs/users at https://openpath.readme.io/reference). You’ll need to write custom code to respond to the button presses, running in your AWS or other IoT/cloud provider account, that exercises those APIs.
Note:Â We don't recommend using IoT buttons for life and safety applications.
To trigger or revert a Lockdown Plan with a third-party wired button:
To ensure that physical inputs, such as buttons or key switches, function properly during a lockdown, the lockdown plan must include a corresponding entry on the ACU (Access Control Unit) where the devices are wired. Without this entry, the rule will not be transmitted correctly from the ACU.
Wire the button directly to the ACU. See How do I configure a wired button to trigger a Lockdown Plan?
