Before you can use the Openpath app, first install the app and then log into the app.
What are badges?
If your organization has enabled Badge View, you will see a card with your name, photo, and other organizational information. You cannot edit what appears here – this information is determined by your system administrator. If you are nearby an Openpath reader, it will also appear here. You can tap View All to view all entries you have access to.
If your organization does not enable Badge View, you will see a list of entries by default.
What are entries?
An Openpath entry can be a door, parking gate, turnstile, or elevator. While most commonly associated with an Openpath Reader, it’s possible for multiple entries to be tied to one Openpath reader (like in an elevator), multiple readers tied to one entry (like for a parking gate that tracks in/out traffic), or no readers at all.
How do I unlock an entry?
Tap the lock icon next to an entry. If you’re out of range of the reader, you’ll need remote unlock permissions. See Remote Unlock.
What else can I do with entries?
Tap on the name of the entry to view its Entry Details page (if you only have access to one entry, this will be your default page).
If you have a cloud key credential, you can tap Share a guest pass (or the Guest Pass icon in the footer) to generate a temporary guest access link for visitors. See What are Cloud Key Credentials and how do I Send Guest Access Links?
If your entry is set up with First In/Last to Leave, you can tap Lock to revert the entry to its previous state. See How do I set up First to Unlock and Last to Leave?
Enable Notification if unlock fails to receive a push notification when your unlock requests fail at this entry.
Enable Notification when nearby to receive a push notification when you’re near this entry.
Enable Add to Favorites to make this entry appear on your favorites list.
What else can I do in the Openpath app?
If you have lockdown permissions, you’ll see a Lockdown icon in the footer. Tap that icon to see a list of lockdown plans, then Trigger and Revert plans as needed. To learn more about lockdown plans, see How do I trigger and revert lockdown plans?
You can Send Feedback at any time from the app. See How do I send feedback from the mobile app?
