What to do when you receive an alarm alert

Since you've been set up to receive alerts for specific alarms, it's your responsibility to acknowledge them. The steps you need to follow are determined by the admin during the alarm configuration.

We recommend beginning with the Alarm Management FAQ for guidance.

Alarm alerts from the Alta Access system will appear as pop-up notifications in the lower right corner of your screen.

Alarm Details

To acknowledge the alarms click on the alarm to open it from the Alarm Dashboard. You will be presented with the alarm details and instructions (if added by the admin) on the steps you will take. In my example, the instructions are “Acknowledge and close. Notes required”

Alarm Actions

Here you will choose what action to take, and if required leave a note.

Alarm History

This shows the history of the alarm you are acknowledging.

Click SAVE in the lower right corner to finish acknowledging the alarm.

Note: If notes are NOT required you can acknowledge them from the Status ‘Active’ drop-down on the Alarm Dashboard.
