If an end user requests to be made anonymous within Openpath, they should contact their Openpath administrator and ask that their personal identifiable information (PII) be removed.
Note: These instructions apply to users who are created in Openpath. If a user is synced to Openpath via an identity provider integration (Azure AD or Okta, for example), then any changes must be made within that third-party platform.
To anonymize an Openpath user:
Go to https://control.openpath.com/login and log in. To access the European Partner Center, please go to https://control.eu.openpath.com/login
Go to Users > User Management and click on the user to edit their details
Change the email address to a fake email. We recommend using Openpath’s designated domain for anonymous emails, for example,
user@noemail.openpath.com
Delete any PII, including First and Last Name
Delete the user’s photo by clicking on the photo, then selecting Delete from the dropdown
Click Save
Once anonymous, the user can continue to:
Use their mobile credential to access entries
Use their key card or fob to access entries
However, without a valid email address the user will not be able to:
Re-provision their mobile credential on their current device or a new device
Log into the Control Center (assuming they had admin access)
