Note: For Avigilon firmware upgraded before October 2nd, 2023, time synchronization will only sync time occur with the DHCP time (if it provides NTP), but not with both DHCP and Cloud. This might cause some issues if your DHCP has an invalid NTP configuredconfiguration.

With the new Avigilon firmware update, we sync time synchronization is done with NTP servers from both DHCP and our Cloud NTP servers. If your device is still not able to cannot sync time, it would happen may be because our cloud NTP servers AND and the DHCP’s DHCP's NTP servers are being blocked.

If you have updated upgraded before October 2nd you will have , another update ready to be installedis available for installation.

Alert Settings
We’ve added three new events that can trigger Alerts alerts in the Alert Settings , Intercom Session Started- Configurations > Alerts: Intercom Button Pressed, Motion Detected, Audio Detected, and Video Reader Tamper Detected. Be careful, if If you have a busy environment that triggers a lot of with frequent motion detection, it may not be consider whether enabling Motion Detection alerts is the best option for your Alert Settingssettings.

We recognize understand that introducing incorporating video and images into the Avigilon Alta Control Center Access can be a sensitive option for some organizations. Therefore, so we’ve introduced some added permissions to ensure every organization can be configured configure the system to meet their needs.

Alta Access Intercom Calling

It is possible to make calls to You can call the Avigilon Video Intercom from within Control Center on within Alta Access using certain browsers (Safari and Firefox are currently not supported). To initiate a call you can , open the live view window and click the phone icon.

You can also call the intercom itself via the Openpath using the Avigilon Alta Open app. Open the Openpath app, click the camera icon at the bottom of the app , and you will see the intercom video that has with a small phone icon at the bottom of the video. Clicking that will connect you to the intercom.

Intercom/Voice Assistant Features

The Intercom Settings tab provides configuration options for the Text-To-Speech language, messaging, and Audio features of the Video Intercom Reader Pro.The Text-To-Speech configuration provides an optional default message to play

    • Language: Select the language spoken to and replied to from the Video Intercom. We currently support:

    • Codec - The default audio codec is OPUS, except for intercoms using ONVIF.     • Audio Recording: Allows audio to be recorded during events.

Note: We have only tested the Video Intercom Reader SIP only with the following IP PBX servers and cannot guarantee functionality with other IP PBX systems. As additional systems are tested and validated, they will be added here.
