Lockdown Plan Overview

A Lockdown Plan allows you to change the status of one or more entry points using various trigger methods. These methods include the mobile app, Avigilon Alta Access, designated card credentials presented at a reader, or third-party wired and IoT buttons. Examples of Lockdown Plans include:

  • Locking all perimeter entries and unlocking all interior doors (e.g., a lockout proceduresuspicious package/person scenario).

  • Locking all entries near a delivery room perimeter entries and unlocking all interior doors (e.g., a suspicious package scenariolockout procedure).

  • Unlocking all doors within a building (e.g., an open house event).

Lockdown Plan options:
Standard Lockdown Plans are available for all organizations and apply to all zones and entries.
Flexible Lockdown Plans allow you to select specific zones and entries for lockdown.

Non-profits and schools are eligible for free flexible plans. Contact your sales representative or installer to request one for your organization. If you are not a non-profit or school, contact your sales rep or installer to discuss flexible plan options for your organization.

Creating a Lockdown Plan

  1. Log In:

  2. Go to Avigilon Alta Access to log in.

  3. For European users, log in at EU Alta Access
    1. Log in to the Openpath Control Center at https://control.openpath.com/login. For the European Control Center, use https://control.eu.openpath.com/login.

  4. Navigate to Lockdown Plans:

    1. Go to Sites > Lockdown

  5. Lockdown tab - Set up your plan:

    • Name and Rank: Give the plan a meaningful name and assign a rank. The rank determines the plan's priority of the plan if multiple plans are triggered simultaneously. Lower numbers indicate higher priority.

    • Duration: Optionally, set a time after which the plan will automatically revert. Leave this blank if you don't want the plan to revert automatically.

    • Zone Configuration: Optionally, enable the Use standard (free-eligible) zone configuration slider to include all zones with the triggered state of "Lockdown - Override Only".

    Add Zones:

    • With standard zone configuration (default), all zones will be automatically added to the plan with a triggered state of Lockdown - Override. Access will be only allowed to users/groups with override permissions.

  6. Add zones (Flexible plans only):

    1. Un-toggle Use standard zone configuration.

    2. Click Add Zone to select

Assign trigger and revert permissions to users:

  1. Go to the User Config tab to select Users and Access Groups config tab:
