Lockdown Plan Overview
A Lockdown Plan allows you to change the status of one or more entry points using various trigger methods. These methods include the mobile app, Avigilon Alta Access, designated card credentials presented at a reader, or third-party wired and IoT buttons. Examples of Lockdown Plans include:
Locking all entries (e.g., a suspicious package/person scenario).
Locking all perimeter entries and unlocking all interior doors (e.g., a lockout procedure).
Unlocking all doors within a building (e.g., an open house event).
Creating a Lockdown Plan
Log In:
Go to Avigilon Alta Access to log in.
For European users, log in at EU Alta Access.
Navigate to Lockdown Plans:
Go to
Sites > Lockdown Plans
and clickCreate Lockdown Plan
.
Set Up Your Plan:
Name and Rank: Give the plan a meaningful name and assign a rank. The rank determines the priority of the plan if multiple plans are triggered simultaneously. Lower numbers indicate higher priority.
Duration: Optionally, set a time after which the plan will automatically revert. Leave this blank if you don't want the plan to revert automatically.
Zone Configuration: Optionally, enable the
Use standard (free-eligible) zone configuration
slider to include all zones with the triggered state of "Lockdown - Override Only".
Add Zones:
Click
Add Zone
to select which entries this Lockdown Plan will affect.Choose the desired entry state for the zone. For lockdown scenarios, use
Lockdown - Override Only
, allowing only users with override permissions to unlock entries in this state.
Save Your Plan:
Click
Save

Assign trigger and revert permissions to users:
Go to the User Config tab to select Users and Access Groups that can trigger and revert the Lockdown Plan.
Click Save.
