When your account is set up in Avigilon Alta, the administrator at your company will send you a setup link via email. If you don't receive an email or if the link expires, you can request a new one from the Openpath mobile app. Users have 7 days to activate their credentials, if the mobile credential is not activated within 7 days, the email link will expire and the site admin will need to resend the mobile credential activation email.

To request a new setup email:

  1. Open the Openpath app on your device.

  2. Tap Get started.

  3. Tap Send Setup Email link.

  4. Enter your email address to send.

  5. Open your email on the mobile device where the Openpath app is installed.

  6. Tap SET UP PHONE .

  1. Open the email and go to SET UP PHONE section.

  2. Hold on to SET UP PHONE until a menu pops up to copy the link/urlURL.

  3. Copy the SET UP PHONE link.

    1. If you're on an iPhone, open up the Safari browser on your phone.

    2. If you're on an Android, open up the Chrome browser on your phone.

  4. Paste the SET UP PHONE link into the browser.

  5. Following the instructions on the web page.

  6. Forwarding the email to your phone via SMS as explained in I don't have email on my phone, how do I activate my Openpath mobile credential?

  7. If neither of these options works, you can set a password to log into the Openpath app.
