Wave to Unlock lets you wave your hand up to an inch or two (2-5 cm) in front of the Openpath Avigilon reader to authenticate with your Openpath Avigilon Alta mobile credential.
Check that your reader is compatible:
Go to https://control.openpath.com/login and log in. To access the European Control Center, please go to https://control.eu.openpath.com/login.
To check if your regular/original Openpath Avigilon Readers are compatible, go to Dashboards, on the top right-hand side of the page choose the Activity Dropdown and choose Device. Click on an ACU below to expand it, then check that the HW version is 22 and the SW version is 2.5.5 or higher. If they are not please reach out to Avigilon Alta Support and ask them to update the firmware.

To enable Wave to Unlock for an Entry, go to Sites > Entries and click on the Entry.
Under Openpath Avigilon Reader settings, enable Wave to Unlock.
The Mobile Authorization Range determines how close the mobile device must be to the Openpath Avigilon reader in order to authorize the unlock.
The Wave Detection Range specifies how close the hand must be to the Openpath Avigilon reader to initiate the unlock attempt—this behavior may vary depending on your environment and this setting might require adjustment.
At the bottom of the page, click Save.
