You can configure Anti-Passback to use in and out (entry and exit) readers by configuring two entries with two Avigilon readers and two relays sharing one lock.

To configure the hardware:

  1. Install two Avigilon readers, one on either side of the door (or turnstile, parking gate, etc.)

  2. Connect the readers and lock to the Openpath ACU

  3. In this example, the following are connected to the 4-Port Board:

    1. The in/entry Avigilon Reader is connected to READER 1

    2. The out/exit Avigilon Reader is connected to READER 3

    3. The lock is connected to RELAY 1

    4. RELAY 3 is connected to REX 1 (which will trigger RELAY 1)

To configure the entries in the Control Center:

  1. Go to https://control.openpath.com/login and log in. To access the European Control Center, please go to https://control.eu.openpath.com/login

  2. Go to Sites > Entries and create two entries (billing charges may apply)

    1. Click the plus(+) sign in the top right corner to Create an Entry

    2. Give the entry a name, assign a zone, and select the Controller you just configured

    3. Under Entry/Exit Hardware, select Relay 1

    4. Under Openpath Reader, select Reader 1

    5. Click Save

    6. Repeat these steps for the Out Reader, selecting Relay 3 and Reader 3

  3. To configure an Anti-Passback Area, refer to How do I enable Anti-Passback and Occupancy Management?
