Note: This configuration requires the /wiki/spaces/EHC/pages/1607041051, which is included in the Premium Plan. To view more details about your plan, log into Avigilon Alta Access and go to Administration > Account.

Wire the button to the ACU:

  1. Wire the button to an available input on the ACU.

  2. Refer to your wired button’s manufacturer’s instructions.

Configuring the Input in Alta Access (Not Required for Auxiliary Input)

  1. Access Alta Access:

  2. Edit the ACU:

    • Navigate to Devices > ACUs.

    • Click on the ACU you want to edit.

  3. Configure the Port:

    • Go to the Ports tab.

    • Click on the port next to the input wired to the button (e.g., Contact4).

    • Select Generic Input from the Input Type dropdown, then click Save.

Creating a Lockdown Plan

  1. Refer to Instructions:

Note: To ensure that physical inputs, such as buttons or key switches, function properly during a lockdown, the lockdown plan must include a corresponding entry on the ACU (Access Control Unit) where the devices are wired. Without this entry, the rule will not be transmitted correctly from the ACU.

Creating Rules in the Rules Engine

  1. Access the Rules Engine:

    • Go to Configurations > Rules.

    • Click the plus (+) sign in the top right corner to create a new rule.

  2. Define the Rule:

    • Enter a name and description for the rule.

  3. Set the Trigger:

    • In the Trigger section:

      • From the Type dropdown, select Input.

      • From the Event dropdown, select Generic Input State Changed.

  4. Add Conditions:

    • In the Conditions section:

      • Click Add Condition.

        • From the Type dropdown, select ACU Port Filter.

        • From the ACU To Match dropdown, select the ACU with the wired button.

        • From the ACU Port To Match dropdown, select the button's Generic Input (e.g., Contact4).

      • Click Add Condition again.

        • From the Type dropdown, select Input State.

        • From the State to Match dropdown, select the appropriate state (based on how the button is wired).

          • For toggle switch buttons wired to NC, select high to trigger and low to revert.

          • For toggle switch buttons wired to NO, select low to trigger and high to revert.

  5. Define Actions:

    • In the Actions section:

      • From the Type dropdown, select Lockdown.

      • From the Lockdown Plan dropdown, select the plan you want the button to trigger.

      • From the Lockdown Action dropdown, select Trigger Lockdown.

    • Repeat steps 1-5. In step 5, under the Lockdown Action dropdown, select Revert Lockdown.

  6. Save the Rule:

    • Click Save.
