You can configure Avigilon Alta to disarm security alarms through physical wiring (explained below) or through API webhooks with the Rules Engine

To physically wire Avigilon Alta to a security alarm system, contact the alarm company and ask them to program a “keyswitch” on the alarm panel that can connect to the Avigilon Alta ACU. The dry relay should disable the alarm system.

Once configured, the Avigilon Alta integrator can connect the alarm panel's “keyswitch” to a dry relay on the Avigilon Alta ACU.

To configure the dry relay in the Control Center:

  1. Go to https://control.openpath.com/login and log in. To access the European Control Center, please go to https://control.eu.openpath.com/login

  2. Go to Sites > Entries and click on the Entry that is wired to the alarm

  3. Scroll down to Additional Controls, select Entry/Exit Hardware, then click Add Control

  4. Scroll up to Entry/Exit Hardware and configure accordingly

  5. At the bottom of the page, click Save

  6. When a user opens the entry, the alarm will disarm

Note: You can add additional Avigilon Alta Readers to the alarm system relay by adding them to this entry using Add Control, but this will result in duplicate logs when the entry is unlocked.
